I’ve been here twice. The chicken is perfectly cooked and crunchy. I tried a chicken with cheesy powder the second time with sweet potato fries. The service is really nice and I like the restaurant decor. I’d come here again to try a different menu item. I can’t remember what I had last time. They also have a nice variety of beverages rice and noodles.
Our waiter with red hair was extremely nice, he politely helped me and my partner while we were struggling to make our own ramen and was quick with our service! He is also a great dancer, and made us smile with his talent! Food was amazing as always, will come back again!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely phenomenal! I went to BBQ Chicken in downtown New Haven, and everything was exquisite — the food, the service, the entire experience. The secret sauce and the flavors on the garlic, honey garlic, and Gangnam-style chicken were out of this world. My sweet potato fries and onion rings were perfectly done. But what truly made it memorable was JT, our server — professional, kind, and simply outstanding. Thank you, JT, for making the night amazing!
We stopped in for a quick lunch on a Sunday. Looked good from the out, nice and clean inside. The young lady at the counter was really helpful, answering all questions we had. We had the Korean Fried Chinen in Garlic Honey and Soy Garlic. A side of onion rings as well. Both dishes came with a nice amount if fries...not an overwhelming amount like some places. The chicken was hot, moist and delicious. Th fries were also crispy and hot. The onion rings were super good as well. Your food definitely does not sit under a heat lamp waiting to be served. Everything thing was really good and tasted great. Can't recommend this restaurant enough. Very good.
This was our first time at bb.q chicken. The service was great and there was little wait time. Their wings were DELICIOUS!! I'd definitely recommend this restaurant, dine in or take out!
Awesome casual Korean fried chicken spot. You can just smell how good it’s going to be when you walk in. I had the spicy galbi wings and they were delicious!!! The wings were giant size, crispy but still moist on the inside and well-balanced with the sauce which was the perfect blend of salty, sweet, and a little heat. The pickled radish was also solid and a very welcome fresh accompaniment to the fried food. Service was very polite. Would definitely recommend this place to others!
BBQ Chicken New Haven delivers the flavorful Korean fried chicken you’d expect from this popular franchise. The food tastes great, with crispy, juicy chicken and bold sauces that hit the spot for anyone craving a Korean chicken fix. Whether you’re a fan of the classic Golden Olive or spicy wings, the quality is consistent and satisfying. The restaurant has a lively vibe and was fairly busy during my visit, but the service was impressively quick. Despite the hustle and bustle, the staff was efficient and ensured orders were prepared and delivered without delay. That said, the pricing here is noticeably higher compared to other locations of the same franchise. While the food is good, the cost might make you pause if you’re familiar with BBQ Chicken elsewhere. Overall, BBQ Chicken New Haven is a solid choice for a flavorful and satisfying meal. The slightly higher price tag is worth it if you’re looking for great Korean fried chicken served quickly in a busy yet well-run spot.
